Tip #1 :- Breast milk is the best food for babies. Mothers should make an effort to breastfeed for the first 6 months of their babies' life.
Tip #2 :- Your baby grows the fastest during the first year and doubles his/her weight at 6 months and again at 12 months the baby will triple his/her weight again!
Tip #3 :- Baby's iron needs increase up to 15 times after 6 months, so the idea is to give the baby iron fortified cereal and iron rich foods.
Tip #4 :- Complementary feeding can start from 4-6 months old babies. Starting later is fine as sometimes starting too early can cause food allergies.
Tip #5 :- You can check whether baby is ready for foods by his/her ability to sit up with support, steady his neck and is hungry even after milk.
Very young babies need to have their necks supported at all times and not all exercises are suitable for non-mobile babies.

My son's pediatrician encourages starting complementary feeding at 6 months because of possible food allergies and that his digestive system might not yet be fully developed at 4 months. healthcare recruitment
